Unsolved Mysteries

      One of the most interesting cases that I have ever heard of was the JonBenet Ramsey case. This little girl was a six year-old beauty queen who was found die in the basement of her parents home in Boulder, CO. Her mother woke up in the middle of the night and noticed that the child was not in her bed. After her and her husband looked for their daughter they called the police. There was a ransom note that was left for her parents saying that they would not harm their daughter if they got what they wanted. When the police came to the house, they and the parents once again searched the house for the young girl. After looking around this massive house, her father came out from the basement with her body. To this day, her murder has not been solved. This case is fascinating to me because of all of the suspicion and police mess-ups around it. The scene of the crime was never closed off for only the police to be allowed in. This mistake is very costly because the father was the one to find the body even after the parents had said they searched the basement. The other part is the suspicion that surrounds it. People believe that is may have been the father because in the ransom note, the amount asked for was almost the exact amount of the father's bonus. No one has ever been able to know what exactly has happened to this little girl and it is truly a sad situation.
   Another interesting case to me is the Caylee Anthony case. This case is a new interest to me as of lately because of my mock trial case. In the Caylee Anthony case, Caylee Anthony was missing for out 30 days before she was reported missing to the police. She was consistently looked for for about 6 months before her body was found not far from her grandparent's house. By the time she was found, all that was left has her skeleton. The police ruled her death a homicide and the cause was unknown. The reason that this interests me is that there is some many different stories that her mother told, no one really knows what happened to this little girl. Another this that interests me about this case is how it was never determined how the young child died. It is sad that the story as to how exactly this child died was never found and to give closure to the family.
