One example of a current detective would be a guidance counselor. A guidance counselor has to make detailed observations about a specific situation and gather all of the facts to make a conclusion about giving someone advice. I believe a guidance counselor can be a popular detective today because their doors are always open to any situation that a student will face. Another example of a current detective would be a news reporter. I believe news reporter are popular because they always have the inside story on things that are supposed to be kept quiet. News reporters are constantly breaking new stories to the public regarding scandals. They have to obtain all sides of a story and decide who is telling the truth just like a detective does.
