The two examples of modern day detectives that I choose are Penelope Garcia from Criminal minds who works with real life detectives but is more of a detective in some senses than the actual detectives. Second I chose nurses who have to be real life detectives in finding out what is wrong with patients in the hospital setting when their underlying condition is unknown.
