Detectives in the present

The first pick for detectives would be the Supernatural boys. I chose them because their main objective is to hunt down deamons and other worldly figures to prevent them from hurting the innocent. The techniques and very basic ideas behind what they do is very detective-like. I think they are popular they kill demons and are eloners. That's most appealing to the pop culture world. They also fight a lot and the show is filled with drama which, in today's world, is what people love.



My second pick is Burn Notice. It's a hsow about a spy, Michael Weston, who was a special agent but then got "Burned" aka erased from his job, money, and job/credit history. The show, also filled with drama, is very popular because he does all sorts of on deapth dangerous missions to help those who are being cheated or threatened by a hiring or more powerful source. Michael uses his incredible skills both pysically and mentally along with his team to help; same idea as Supernatural.
