Popular Detectives

When I think of detectives in literature, two names come to mind.  Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys.  Not simply a “current” example of detectives, both have been around for decades due their popularity, which stems from the fun, innocent stories of teenagers solving crimes.  Generations of children have enjoyed these series and their adventures.  What child doesn’t imagine himself/herself heroically solving a suspenseful mystery?  Now we have computer games and video games of these great stories for our generation to actually become the detective.

Another example of detectives is Michael Weston from Burn Notice.  My brother watches this show religiously because of the interaction between the cast and the suspense of figuring out the storyline.  He enjoys it because he feels like he, as the viewer, gets to solve the mystery as he watches.
