Current Detectives

Teresa Lisbon and Patrick Jane from the Mentalist are considered current detectives. Even though I would say Jane does a majority of the detective work, they both make contributions. I believe this show is popular because Jane presents the information in a witty manner. The way he figures out who did it is unlike any other television show. The way he interacts with Cho and Rigsby also adds to the  show. He is always upstaging them in a clever way which provides comical relief.
