Current Detectives

Neal Caffery from USA's show White Collar can be seen as a modern day detective.  Neal was previously known as a great con artist, especially in the art industry.  He was caught and put in prison, when he escaped he was caught by Peter Burke, the FBI detective who caught him the first time.  Now Neal works with the FBI to catch white collar criminals and earn his freedom.  Neal does good deeds as a detective by solving the mysteries, and he channels his inner bad boy to do so.

 

When thinking about detectives, another name I cannot get out of my mind is Leroy Jethro Gibbs, from CBS's NCIS.  Gibbs is the leader of a group of special agents whose goals are to solve marine crimes.  There is a lot of back story to Gibb's life, and he is often known to use his "gut" feeling to help him solve a case.  His natural ability to solve problems makes him a great example of a detective.
