My two examples of current detectives are Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering from Warehouse 13. The show follows these two characters as they hunt down special artifacts that can be dangerous in the wrong hands. Each episode usually starts with an unexplainable event happening and Pete and Myka have to use their detective skills to discover what artifact is casing the problem. Both Pete and Myka have special talents. Pete gets vibes that tell him either when something good or bad is going to happen. Myka is super smart and her knowledge of history helps her discover what artifact could be on the loose.
