Unsolved Crimes/Mysteries

One example of a very recent unsolved mystery is the death of 66-year-old Danny Vanzandt. His body had been nearly fully incinerated. The fire appeared to have been slow and long-lasting. The fire was also in a very tight location, which didn't seem to burn any other objects around him. The Sheriff who saw the scene said that this could have possibly been a result of spontaneous human combustion, which is when a person suddenly ignites from the inside. However, he said this is only a possibility and has no other explanation at the moment. What I find fascinating about this case is the fact that it deals with spontaneous human combustion. These types of deaths are very rare and it is largely controversial whether they are even possible. I have always been interested in researching this controversial theory and my hope is that this recent case will bring some more attention to this topic and help us to find the cause of it.

Another unsolved mystery that I found very interesting was the JonBenet Ramsey case. JonBenet was a six-year-old girl, a child beauty pageant queen, who had been murdered. Her body was found in the basement of her home about eight hours after it was reported that she was missing. In the midst of the investigation, there was a fake lead by a 14-year-old girl. Also, a former schoolteacher of hers who was a pedophile confessed to the crime, but his DNA did not match the DNA at the crime scene. Investigators tested the DNA of her parent's and brother's clothing and also found no match. Recently, the case was reopened, and police plan to use the latest technology to solve it. I find this case very interesting because there have been so many twists and terrible lies in it. Although it is taking a very long time, progress is still being made and I am very curious to see how the case ends and hope that justice is served and the real criminal is found.
