Shawn and Gus from the show Psych

Shawn pretends to be a psychic and Gus is his best friend who helps him out and helps protect the secret that Shawn isn't psychic. Shawn is hyper observant and good at reading people. Jane is really observant as well, but he is also a master manipulator. These are two of my favorite shows. I think that these shows are popular because of the humor that Psych has and the personality that Jane has. They also have interesting cases, they keep cases interesting and in Psych you can for the most part jump into any episode and not miss anything.
