How to be a Hero

It was clearly shown in the viewings we saw that there are many different ways to become a hero. And many times the classic attributes of a hero can be disregarded in certain situations. Many people would see Uther stepping up to battle the Black Knight over his son as Heroic, but I thought that Merlin was the true hero of that particular story. Merlin took many risks to assure that Arthur would live through his battle with the Black Knight, although his plan was foiled by Uther his intentions themselves were heroic. Also in the Supernatural episode Dean and Sam were examples of heroic nature in that they risked their own lives to save the lives of girls they did not even know, and stop the "bad guys". These were just two of many examples of how a hero is born.
