equivalent of knights today

 The equivalent of a knight from the viewings from class compared to today are two separate ideas. In the viewings a knight is someone who is dressed up in armor with a huge sword and a shield to fight till the death. In today's society a knight is someone who will go the extra step to save another life. A knight is someone that will fight for the country, like a soldier. A knight is someone who will find the person causing destruction and set them straight, like a cop. A knight is someone who will run through burning flames just too safe another's life, like a firefighter. A knight could be an ordinary person with no training or skill that can make a difference in the world. The knights in the viewings in class was someone that was trained to be or chosen to be but in todays would you can be trained but you can also be someone noone knows.
