In the episode of Merlin, several characters demonstrate
heroic characteristics. Merlin goes to
great lengths in his attempt to save his friend from dying in the
challenge. By trying to get the sword
christened by the dragon, Merlin learns that power mean great responsibility
and that sometimes magic doesn’t go according to plan. Still, he takes a risk and shows bravery as
he tries to keep Arthur alive.
Uther
is also very heroic, as he fights in his son’s stead. Rather than lose his beloved son and heir, he
decides to take on the challenge, showing the love he has for Arthur and the
duty he feels toward his kingdom.
