Today's Knights

Following the specific themes of heroism--overcoming evil, saving helpless and innocent lives, and never resting from the work of good--I believe today's knights are those who follow these themes. Firefighters and police men and women commonly cross our minds. However, I also believe doctors, nurses, and teachers should be nominations for today's knights. If you think about it, all of these professions, as well as many more, face daily challenges to improve and essentially save countless individuals. They never stop, and sometimes their days might not end. Also, these men and women chose these professions knowing the risks, frustrations, and overwhelming shift schedules. Anyone who puts their own life "on the back burner" for the improvement of the general population and save lives too and maintain their own mental/physical health is a knight in my book.
