During
the Medieval Period, knights were held to a higher standard than other
people. They were supposed to be
honorable, brave, loyal to God and country, and protect the king and his
people. In the episode of Supernatural, Sam and Dean demonstrate
elements of those characteristics. As
they try to save the girls, the brothers show their loyalty to each other and
the girls and bravery as they try to defeat the villains.
In
the real world, we have many versions of knights. The military, police force, and the fire
department all demonstrate these qualities daily. On a more personal level, doctors, teachers,
and parents might also be considered heroes for the work they do each day.
