There are many ways for someone to
become a hero. In the viewing of Merlin I saw two different people acting
like a hero. The first hero I saw was Merlin. Merlin was obviously not the strongest or
even royalty in the viewing. The thing
that made him a hero was when he went out of his way to save the kings
son. Merlin did not have to find a sword
to kill the black knight, but he did because he did not want to see anyone else
die. Merlin showed love and loyalty
which are traits of a hero.
The
second hero in the viewing on Merlin
was Uther. When Uther took his son’s place
in the fight, he made an ultimate sacrifice.
Uther believed he had no chance of winning yet he still chose to fight. He was willing to die for his son because he
loved him so much. This is a trait of a hero, sacrificing one’s own life to
save another.
