Modern Day Hero

When I contemplate a modern day hero the first thing that jumps to mind is the Military, police officers and Fire Fighters, but upon thinking deeper I thought about what I consider the true meaning of a hero. I see a hero as someone who is a normal everyday person that jumps to action without hesitation when someone is in need. When I think about this I think of Mothers as modern day heroes. Mothers not only protect and act in a  heroic nature to their own kin but to it seems like all. I believe mothers have a heroic trait that puts them in the position to act in times of need.
