A Hero; Today's Knights

I believe hero to be a very strong word. A hero is someone who does the right thing because they have the responsibility to do so. Therefore, I believe that someone can become a hero by just doing the little things like helping others when they are in need. For example, helping with food drives and volunteering throughout the community. Another way I believe someone can become a hero is by doing something out of the ordinary that people can look up to. Such as Michael Phelps who inspired millions by winning many gold metals.

The equivalents of knights today are celebrities. Everyone knows who they are and what they do whether it may be good or bad. A celebrity gets a certain kind of special treatment from the general public just like the knights would. Also, the honorable aspects of knights are comparable to people like soldiers as they protected the people of their land and the will of their king or leader from foreign enemies.
