Modern Knights

I believe a knight is someone who serves the greater good for the people around them. In midevil times this could be seen as soldiers or warriors defending their empire. As mentioned, modern day knights serve a very similar purpose. All branches of the military fight to protect our country from external threats and should be considered knights. While internally we have many heroes including all law enforcement officers, fire-fighters and I even consider many normal citizens to be knights. Just because you occupation doesn't require you to put yourself on the line for the good of the country, doesn't mean many people don't do it through many different volunteer organizations. I believe that an individual with an office job that volunteers to help people in times of need, due to a tragedy of whatever the circumstance is also a knight. Reason being by helping people in need, the whole country is improving. Knights fight and serve to protect the good of their country, land, empire, etc., any individual is able to do this in our society in some way.
