Bilbo Baggins is a perfect example of a nobody that
became a hero. Bilbo was a smalltime hobbit from the shire and just wanted to
be left alone so he could enjoy his simple life. But, Bilbo becomes a hero when
he agrees to be a “burglar” and to go on an adventure with Gandalf and the
dwarves. Throughout the adventure to Lonely Mountain, Bilbo acquires a powerful
ring of invisibility, which helps him to become a hero by saving the dwarves from
danger on more than one occasion.
Katniss Everdeen is another example of a hero who
was once a nobody. Prior to replacing her sister in the hunger games, Katniss
was just a normal girl living in District 12. She uses her remarkable archery skills
to win the hunger games and restore her freedom. Katniss serves as hero to her
hometown, District 12.
