My first example of an unexpected hero is Tom Brady. He was drafted late in the sixth round of the NFL draft and no one gave him much thought. Then when Drew Bledsoe was hurt late in the season Tom Brady came in the game and played really well. Throughout his earlier years everyone said he did not have the tools to make it as an elite quarterback in the NFL but, he then went on to win three superbowls. He has been an inspiration to a lot of underdog type of people.
My next unexpected hero is Anthony Robles, a former wrestler from Arizona State University. He is an unexpected hero because he was born with only one leg and accomplished so much. Anthony Robles won three PAC-10 championships and a national championship at the 125 pound weight class.
