1. The first person that comes to mind that is a hero in a fantasy world is Harry Potter. He is by far one of my most favorite movie characters. In the series he starts out as a boy who lives under a stair case that looks at himself as a nobody. As time goes on and he becomes older, he realizes his true potential. Throughout the stories we see many examples of Harry's courage as he fights off enemies to protect his friends and school. Harry is a selfless character that will do anything to help and save his friends even if it means him having to risk his own life. At the end of the story he defeats Voldemort in a fight that is a prime example of a hero coming from nothing and beating all odds.
2. In the book series the Hunger Games, Katniss was the main character who rose from nothing in order to fight for her life. Even though she did kill other characters in the movie, she fought for many of the people who were defenseless. She fought to protect Peeta who was injured during the fight and allowed them both to stay alive. She then went on to be the face of change to improve the government that was corrupt. She rose from District 12 which is a poor district where the government was not helping them at all. She is mainly a hero because she fights for what is right and just in a world that is corrupted by the government. The ultimate sacrifice she made was offering herself to take the place of her sister in this battle to death. She exemplified the characteristics of a hero, those being courageous and selfless.
