Nobodies who became heroes
This man's name is Autrey who was a 50 year old contruction worker in New York City. He dove under a speeding subway train to save a veteran who was convulsing on the tracks. Autrey saw the man collaspe before boarding the subway and started convulsing. A few people went over immeadiately and helped him up, which is what you don't do, and the man inevitabley fell into the path of the subway train and began to convulse again. Autrey thought fast dove over top of the man and squeezed himself and the man in a 2 foot space between the train wheels and the track below. Autrey was praised by every politician and was given a free trip to meet Ellen DeGeneres and rewarded $10,000 directly from Donal Trump.
This is Augusto Odone, an economist for the world bank. His son, Lorenzo, was diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy or ALD which causes deterioration of eye sight, hearing and many other bodily functions that one needs to survive. His son was 6 years old when they doctors discovered this and they told Augusto that Lorenzo only had 2 more years to live. Augusto spent late nights reading up on ALD and did very much research and finally figured out that it was caused by the build up of long chain fatty acids in the blood. So he called a doctors conference and eventually came up with the cure of a mixture of oils that, when given to Lorenzo, completely stopped the deterioration from happening. In a trail 83 out of 120 people who were diagnosed with ALD were cured. He was granted and honorary doctorate and credited with the cure.
